The agricultural sector in PNGOs denounces the Israeli occupation’s decision to close Gaza Strip sea

The agricultural sector in the Palestinian NGOs Network (PNGO) strongly condemns the decision of the Israeli occupation forces to completely close the sea of the Gaza Strip and denying fishermen access.

The agricultural sector in PNGO considers the decision as an attack on fishermen and a flagrant violation of international covenants and treaties, which the Israeli occupation forces have consistently violated and used such decisions to deny them accessing their livelihoods.
It stresses that this Israeli aggression is contributing to exacerbate the already deteriorating humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, especially the fishing sector, which suffers from continuous attacks by the occupation, especially during the fishing season.
In addition, PNGO agriculture sector calls on the international community and human rights and humanitarian institutions to immediately and urgently intervene to cancel this unjust Israeli decision, open the sea completely to fishermen, stop all kinds of violations and attacks on fishermen and protect them, allow fishing gears and equipment and lift the unjust blockade on the Gaza Strip.
