PNGO calls for an urgent international action to stop the Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip

The Palestinian Non-Governmental Organizations Network (PNGO) strongly condemns the ongoing crimes committed by the Israeli occupation against civilians in the Gaza Strip. Massacres committed by the Israeli occupying forces resulting in the death of 139 Palestinians, including 39 children and 22 women. Every Israeli airstrike is a clear premediated decision to murder. At dawn, Abu Hattab family, including 10 women and children were assassinated. Many more were severely injured and few managed to be rescued from under the rubble of their destroyed homes without protection or warning.  Thousands of Palestinians are forcibly having to move from one house to the other as they fear for their lives and the lives of their loved ones. Nowhere is safe at the Gaza Strip. UNRWA schools have been hosting families under extremely difficult humanitarian conditions and even UNRWA is not safe. PNGO confirms that the Israeli occupation continues bombardment operations by air and artillery shells targeting citizens' homes, agricultural land, media institutions and civilian objects in the Gaza Strip.

  • PNGO warns of the danger of continued deterioration in the humanitarian situation, including the lack of electricity due to IOF destroying power lines and continues depletion of fuel to run the power plant affecting essential humanitarian services: health, water and sanitation.
  • PNGO calls for an immediate and urgent international intervention to stop the grave attacks and violations that the Israeli occupation continues to commit against civilians.
  • PNGO also calls for the necessity to expedite the provision of the humanitarian needs of the citizens and to press for the opening of the crossings to ensure the continuation of basic services, foremost of which are electricity, health and water.
  • Finally, PNGO stresses the need to open an urgent international investigation into the crimes committed by the occupation and to hold the leaders of the Israeli occupation state accountable for the crimes against humanity committed against our people.
