The Health Sector in the Palestinian NGOs Network strongly condemns the attack on doctors and medical staff in the Reception Department of Al-Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza City.

PNGO's Health Sector refers to the attack committed by some people a few days ago against the doctors in the Reception Department at Al-Shifa Hospital while they were carrying out their duty to serve patients.

PNGO's Health Sector stresses the need to end these attacks, which have been repeated in several hospitals during the past period, and warns of their repercussions on the situation of doctors and the services they provide in light of the complex conditions in which they work.

And at a time when PNGO's Health Sector expresses its solidarity with all doctors, it demands the need to hold those who commit these attacks accountable and bring them to justice.

It also calls on all official bodies to develop strict policies to protect medical staff, and respect and appreciate their efforts.
