Statement by the Palestinian NGOs Network on the ICC's Decision Against Benjamin Netanyahu and Yoav Gallant as War Criminals

The Palestinian NGOs Network welcomes the decision of the International Criminal Court in The Hague which issued arrest warrants against the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defence Minister Yoav Gallant, as war criminals who committed crimes against humanity.

The court's decision came after the Pre-Trial Chamber I of the International Criminal Court, which rejected Israel's appeals on jurisdiction and issued arrest warrants for Benjamin Netanyahu and Yoav Gallant. Despite the delay in issuing this verdict after the continuation of the war of extermination, genocide and starvation on the Gaza Strip for more than a year, the continuation of settlement and apartheid in the West Bank, and the extension of attacks on Lebanon, this decision is considered a correct step in the application of international law. PNGO points out that the occupation, its leadership and soldiers continue to commit, in various ways, all kinds of international crimes in the occupied Palestinian territory.

Therefore, the Palestinian NGOs Network, while welcoming this decision, calls on all states:

First: Provide full protection for the International Criminal Court and its decisions from all acceding and non-acceding countries as well as working to effectively implement the arrest warrants as it represents the protection of international law.

Second, we call on countries to stop exporting and supplying weapons to the occupying state, as this makes them complicit and accomplices in war crimes and crimes against humanity.

Third: Governments should arrest and prosecute all Israeli officers and soldiers who pass through their countries, including those with dual nationalities, because they are involved in war crimes.

Fourth: Suspend the EU Israel Association Agreement due to the war crimes committed by the Israeli government.
