The Palestinian NGOs Network (PNGO) strongly condemns the armed robbery of humanitarian aid trucks loaded with flour and destined for families and children suffering from acute hunger in the Gaza Strip.
PNGO points out that armed group, operating under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces, carried out an attack on a convoy of seventeen World Food Programme (WFP) trucks on Salah al-Din Road. The trucks, loaded with flour and intended to supply bakeries in Gaza City and the northern governorates, were looted—depriving children and families already enduring severe hunger of their basic food needs.
The network also condemns the Israeli occupation's attacking of aid escorting teams composed of family members from Middle Area of Gaza Strip which resulted in several being killed or injured. It affirms that this attack underscores the occupation’s role in providing cover for acts of looting and theft.
PNGO warns that the recent entry of only 119 humanitarian trucks into Gaza strip carrying limited and insufficient aid supplies represents a calculated strategy by Israel to mislead the international community and perpetuate the blockade under the guise of compliance.
PNGO calls on all actors of the Palestinian society, especially families and tribal leaders, to reject these acts of lawlessness, which violate the values and traditions of the Palestinian people.
The network urges the international community to exert meaningful, sustained pressure on Israel to open border crossings and allow for the safe, unobstructed delivery of humanitarian assistance to its intended recipients.
PNGO reiterates its strong support for the established humanitarian coordination system led by the United Nations and both Palestinian and international NGOs. PNGO firmly rejects attempts by the Israeli occupation to replace this system with private security firms - warning that such moves are part of a wider plan to impose forced displacement through militarized control of Gaza’s population.
