Palestinian NGOs Network (PNGO) and Private Sector Coordination Council Condemn Rafah Massacre, Call to Boycott U.S.–Israeli Aid Mechanism*

The Palestinian NGOs Network and the Private Sector Coordination Council strongly condemn the massacre committed by the Israeli occupation, who opened continuous fire on crowds of civilians seeking aid in Rafah and south of Netzarim, resulting in dozens of martyrs and wounded.

PNGO and the Council emphasize the grave danger posed by this U.S.-Israeli aid distribution mechanism, which serves the occupation’s security and political objectives by enforcing the forced displacement of our people from northern Gaza toward the south, replacing humanitarian operations with a securitized framework and deepening the humanitarian crisis faced by our people.

In light of the occupation’s massacres in both Rafah and Netzarim, we demand:

• That the international community, represented by the member states of the United Nations and all human rights and humanitarian bodies, condemn this despicable crime and hold the occupation and the American company responsible accountable—since what they have committed amounts to war crimes and crimes against humanity—by referring this crime to both the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court.

• That the United Nations, international humanitarian organizations, and all countries of the world take concrete measures to compel the occupation to abandon this abhorrent mechanism and revert to the United Nations’ humanitarian aid channels.

• The imposition of a comprehensive boycott, especially by any Palestinian or international entity cooperating with this U.S.-Israeli mechanism, and the immediate withdrawal of any contractor once it becomes clear that this mechanism is nothing but traps leading to death, humiliation, the erosion of dignity, and one of the tools of genocide against our people.

We urge the world’s governments to stand up to their responsibilities: not only to thwart this humiliating U.S.–Israeli aid mechanism but also to end the twenty-month-long massacre of our people in Gaza by breaking the siege and ensuring that aid flows exclusively through United Nations agencies.
