PNGO Condemns the Israeli Occupation's Bombing of Clinics Run by the Palestinian Medical Relief Society and the Gaza Community Mental Health Programme

The Palestinian Non-Governmental Organizations Network (PNGO) strongly condemns the Israeli occupation's bombing of the Al-Shawwa building in Gaza City. The building housed the main laboratory and clinics of the Palestinian Medical Relief Society (PMRS), the headquarters and clinics of the Gaza Community Mental Health Programme (GCMHP), as well as the offices of several other civil society organizations.

PNGO notes that occupation aircraft struck the Al-Shawwa building with multiple missiles, leading to its complete destruction and reducing it to rubble. PNGO emphasized that, until the attack, the Medical Relief Society and the Gaza Mental Health Programme were still providing essential medical and mental health services to hundreds of patients daily.

PNGO affirms that by targeting the headquarters of civil society organizations, the Israeli occupation is attempting to deprive our people of life-saving humanitarian services, tighten the siege on citizens, deepen the humanitarian catastrophe, and pressure them into forced displacement.

PNGO calls upon all international parties to act decisively to protect humanitarian workers, organizations, and facilities, and to hold the Israeli occupation accountable for its crimes against humanity.
