PNGO Demands UNICEF Executive Director Retract Her Statement and Apologize to the Children of the Gaza Strip

The Palestinian NGOs Network (PNGO) condemns the content of the statement issued today by UNICEF Executive Director Catherine Russell, which ignored the genocide against the children of the Gaza Strip that UNICEF itself has documented, alongside other international humanitarian and human rights agencies.

PNGO points out that although UNICEF has played a role in providing some important services, its recent statement, which disregarded the martyrdom of more than 20,000 Palestinian children and the starvation of two million people in the Gaza Strip half of whom are children, contradicts the principles of humanitarian work.

PNGO emphasizes the necessity for UNICEF to apologize to the children and women of the Gaza Strip for its disregard and silence regarding the genocide they are facing and to retract its policy of discriminatory omission against Palestinian children. PNGO confirms that it will continue to defend the principles of humanitarian work, international law, and the Palestinian narrative before all international and local institutions and bodies.
