PNGO Calls for an End to Internal Conflicts and the Preservation of Civil Peace in the Gaza Strip

The Palestinian NGOs Network (PNGO) expresses its grave concern over the recent escalation of family disputes and other forms of internal conflict in the Gaza Strip.

These conflicts have increasingly involved the use of weapons and other forms of violence, resulting in the loss of lives and placing the safety and security of citizens at serious risk.

PNGO stresses that internal conflict and social disorder serve the interests of the Israeli occupation by undermining the foundations of civil peace, placing the lives and security of citizens in constant danger, weakening social cohesion, and creating conditions that may compel people to consider leaving their homeland.

PNGO calls upon the relevant official authorities to fulfill their responsibilities in containing tensions and unrest within society, upholding the rule of law, protecting citizens, and preventing the proliferation of attempts to take the law into one's own hands.

PNGO also calls upon all community, political, and societal components and institutions to unite and establish an inclusive framework that can serve as a comprehensive reference for citizens. Such a framework should contribute to ending states of unrest, tension, and conflict, while working to safeguard individual and collective security and strengthen social stability.

At this critical time, preserving civil peace and strengthening social solidarity, mutual support, and cohesion must be among the highest priorities of all community and political forces. Unity and collective responsibility are among the most important means of confronting the occupation's attempts to undermine Palestinian society and strengthening the steadfastness of the Palestinian people in their homeland.
