Warehouses operated by Ard El Insan Palestinian Charitable Association in Deir Al-Balah sustained extensive damage and lost their contents following a strike on a residential building adjacent to the facility on the evening of 24 August 2026.

The warehouses contained nutritional supplements and specialized nutrition supplies intended for children and pregnant and breastfeeding women supported through the Association's health and nutrition programmes across the Gaza Strip.

According to an initial field assessment conducted by AEI teams on Tuesday morning, approximately 100% of the stored supplies were affected. The damaged materials are no longer suitable for distribution or use after exposure to debris, dust, shrapnel and blast-related damage.

The assessment found that large sections of the warehouse roofs and walls had collapsed, burying substantial quantities of nutrition supplies beneath the rubble.

The loss places additional pressure on the continuity of nutrition support for children and pregnant and breastfeeding women at a time of increasing health and nutrition needs across Gaza.

The warehouse location had been included within the Association's humanitarian coordination and facility information updates related to its field operations.

Ard El Insan is currently documenting the losses, assessing the full extent of the damage and identifying the immediate requirements needed to restore storage capacity and secure replacement supplies.

The Association is calling on humanitarian organizations, donors and partners to support efforts to restore its operational and storage capacity and replace the affected nutrition supplies, helping ensure that essential health and nutrition services can continue reaching vulnerable children, women and families.
