The Central Blood Bank Association for the Gaza Governorates is facing an imminent shutdown within the next 24 hours following the complete failure of its electricity generators.

Without an immediate and reliable power supply, we will be unable to maintain the required safe temperatures for storing blood units and blood components, putting the available blood stock at serious risk and disrupting the supply of safe blood to hospitals across Gaza.

Every hour counts. A shutdown of the Blood Bank could directly endanger the lives of injured patients, surgical patients, people suffering from severe bleeding, chronic diseases, kidney failure, and cancer.

WE URGENTLY APPEAL FOR IMMEDIATE SUPPORT TO:

• Provide a suitable emergency generator.
• Repair or replace the failed generators.
• Secure a stable and continuous electricity supply.
• We have 24 hours to prevent the interruption of this vital service.
