The Palestinian NGO's Network's Health Sector expresses grave concern over the continuing delay of the Ramallah-based Palestinian Ministry of Health (MOH) response to the requests of hundreds of patients in the Gaza Strip to
leave for treatment abroad in the wake of the rapid deterioration in health services.
PNGO Health Sector warns of the serious consequences of delaying approvals for medical treatment abroad for Gaza patients on their health conditions and life. Therefore, the Health Sector calls to urgently expedite the supply of medicines and medical supplies to remedy the deteriorating health situation in the Gaza Strip.
The health sector stresses that every moment passes without resolving the crisis means a real danger to patients lives in Gaza Strip who are deprived of their basic right to receive appropriate medical treatment.
PNGO Health Sector reiterates its position on the need to neutralize health services from political disputes and tensions and avoid putting patients lives at a risk to achieve political objectives and speed up finding solutions for the grave health situation in the Gaza Strip.
According to Al-Mezan Center for Human Rights, some 1.720 Gaza patients have received no response to their requests to leave the besieged Gaza Strip for treatment since March.
