 Finance Officer

 

Atfaluna Society for Deaf Children, located in Gaza City, is inviting applications from qualified persons for the post of finance officer.

Role Overview:

Develops and implements financial strategies and plans to achieve the financial stability and sustainability of the organization

Qualifications Required

  1. Bachelor’s degree in finance
  2. Proven experience as a Finance Officer or similar job titles 
  3. At least five years of experience in finance and accounting in an NGO, including at least two years of supervisory or lead responsibility
  4. Solid understanding/application of accounting principles, business case and risk management processes
  5. Solid experience in implementing, controlling, and tracking projects’ budgets
  6. Solid experience in financial reporting and knowledge in donors financial reporting requirements
  7. Excellent financial and business analytical skills
  8. Strategic and operational thinking and planning skills
  9. Knowledge in local and international marketing and new trends in business
  10. Excellent communication and presentation skills, particularly in regard to presenting the results of analyses to management
  11. Very good command (verbal and written) of both English and Arabic languages
  12. Advanced Excel skills; proficiency in using accounting software/programs and spreadsheets for planning, costing and analyzing risks
  13. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

 Other Desirable Qualifications:

  1. Advanced degree in finance, accounting, business, or economics
  2. Working knowledge of disability issues and inclusive development
  3. Sign language skills; Knowledge of respectful disability language
  4. Working knowledge of child and gender safeguarding issues
