About Ajyal

Ajyal Association for Creativity and Development is a Palestinian nongovernmental organization firstly established in 2003 and registered at the Ministry of Interior, no.7329. It mainly aims to contribute in the Palestinian society development through implementing a variety of programs and developing projects. It seeks likewise to develop the concepts of community work according to a vision suits our society needs and to increase the targeted groups awareness and perception to contribute in a real development process to ultimately enhance and develop our society abilities. Ajyal works on four main programs: (Youth, child, woman and humanitarian support).

Project Description:

Ajyal Association has received a grant from IM Swedish Development Partner for its project Tamkeen: "Youth Empowerment and Development", #:832026 aiming at the social and economic inclusion of the rights holders, by increasing their participation in public affairs, particularly youth engagement in the local governance. Moreover enhancing the rights holders' economic inclusion via increasing their access and utilization of their productive resources and individual assets that enable them to penetrate the regional and international markets through working on the freelance platforms.

Ajyal Association is looking for a creative, initiative and qualifies project coordinator to be responsible for the following tasks;

  • Keep updated with economic trends and new ways of intervention in term of enhancing employability of fresh graduate students.
  • Develop annual and monthly plan together with projected spending and monitor progress against plans closely.
  • Oversee and manage the implementation of project activities inline with the project workplan and in accordance with the approved budget.
  • Design the project intervention matrix and coordination with external stakeholders including NGOs, governmental organization, Universities and local communities.
  • Coordinate for capacity building trainings to improve the technical skills of fresh graduate and find ways for employability; and to enhance the civic engagement and participation of project volunteers. 
  • Conduct field visits to beneficiaries and other stakeholders in order to monitor the progress in the implementation of the activities and give appropriate directions to the team;
  • Keep updated with economic trends and new ways of intervention in term of enhancing employability of fresh graduate students.
  • In close cooperation with project and finance team, prepare and finalize periodic narrative and financial reports.
  • Keep management and donor updated with project progress and achievements and discuss future intervention.
  • The project coordinator responsible to develop annual project proposal through building on the so far achieved results of the previous year so that to achieve the project overall goal.
  • Provide technical support and advices to the civic participation group continuously to perform their work in accordance to the project plan effectively.
  • Manage and develop Ajyal incubator to ensure maximum benefit for telework groups.
  • Ensure compliance with organization policies, rules and regulations.
  • Perform any other task as requested.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in IT, Computer science, Business Administration, political and economic Sciences or any other related field.
  • 3 years’ experience in project management by which 2 of them in economic development, social and community development.
  • Proven experience in proposal writing and result based management.
  • Very good knowledge of budgeting and project financial management.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Good analytical skills specially in Gaza political and economic situation.

Additional information:
