Specialist Endocrinology

Project: (Defying the protracted crisis: Strengthening resilience in healthcare, food security and patients with non-communicable disease in the Gaza Strip).

Palestinian Medical Relief Society is implementing project to promote structured and integrated health care that improves outcomes and quality of life for patients with chronic conditions and reduce the risk factors that contribute to the development of chronic diseases. The project is implemented in partnership with Medico International and financed by Federal Republic of Germany - BMZ.

Therefore, PMRS is seeking to hire Specialist Endocrinology with the following Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree of medicine & surgery
  • Completion of specialty qualification of Endocrinology 

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience at a specialist level, since gaining higher qualification.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, doctors, nurses, and other clinical staff. - Fluency in English (speak, read and write).
  • Computer Literacy skills are required.

PMRS job requirements"

  • To work in the morning shift from 8.00 am to 2.00 pm three days per week (days can be agreed)

  • The project activities are implemented in all PMRS health centers and candidate should be able to work in different PMRS centers allover Gaza Strip.

  • The contract is valid until the end of the year 2022 with possible extension.

  • Ability to work in accordance with PMRS code of conduct, rules and regulations.

  • Demonstrate ability to deliver quality patient care.

  • Demonstrate ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

The selected applicant responsibilities are the following: -

  • Provides comprehensive care to patients according to current best-evidence based standards, using best judgement at all times.

  • Analyzing, examining, and investigating patients and their medical histories for signs and symptoms of endocrine disorders. Advising, ordering diagnostic and laboratory tests and interpreting the results.

  • Discussing diagnosis with patients, explaining treatment options, and giving advice on medications, lifestyle and dietary changes, and other preventative measures.

  • Carrying out follow-up appointments, monitoring patient progress, adjusting treatment plans and medications, and updating patient records.
