PNGO Network calls for serious and immediate international action to lift the unjust Israeli blockade on the Gaza Strip

The Palestinian NGOs Network (PNGO) strongly denounces the Israeli occupation authorities' decision to prevent the export of Gaza Strip products to the West Bank and abroad through the Kerem Shalom commercial crossing.

PNGO Network warns of the serious repercussions of such an unjust decision at the economic and social levels, especially for the productive sectors, including the agricultural and industrial sectors, which will contribute to high unemployment and poverty rates.

PNGO Network emphasizes that this decision aligns with the strategy of intensifying the blockade on the Gaza Strip and exacerbating the humanitarian crisis, constituting a form of collective punishment that is prohibited by international law.

Further, PNGO affirms its support for the steps of the private sector and other sectors to confront this dangerous decision amid the continued Israeli blockade and calls on the international community and the United Nations to take immediate and concerted action to halt this decision and work diligently towards the complete removal of the Israeli blockade on the Gaza Strip, thereby enabling unrestricted movement for both individuals and goods.
