Field Assistant
Women’s Affairs Center (WAC) is an independent and non-profit Palestinian NGO with the purpose of advocating women’s rights and gender equality through Empowering Women, Information and Research, and Advocacy and Outreach programs. In implementing its strategy to fulfill its vision, WAC is guided by international human rights principles, including empowerment and participation; equality and non-discrimination; and accountability to ensure justice and dignity for women
WAC is set to implement a project in Gaza, funded by Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP). The project, titled "Enhancing Access to Safe and Inclusive Life-Saving Protection Services for Conflict-Affected Women and Girls in Gaza," aims to ensure that survivors and individuals at risk of gender-based violence (GBV) in Gaza have increased access to prevention, response, and remedial services tailored to their individual needs. Through this project, they will be equipped with the skills, means, and resources necessary to reduce further exposure to harm.
Positions Available:
Field Assistant – Full-time
Location: Gaza City, Gaza Strip
Responsibilities:
- Organize and coordinate the project activities, including workshops and facilitation sessions
- Attend and conduct field follow-up for all project activities, ensuring proper implementation and reporting
- Ensure the archiving and documentation of all project activities is up to date and accurate
- Work closely with the Project Coordinator to support project implementation, monitoring, and preparation of daily reports
- Assist the Project Coordinator with financial tasks, such as obtaining invoices, financial statements, and other financial documentation
- Maintain comprehensive records of all project activities, both in physical and electronic formats
- Perform any additional tasks as assigned by the Project Coordinato
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Sciences, or related fields
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience
- Commitment to gender equality and ethical work principles
- Strong reporting, communication, and organizational skills
- Fluency in both written and spoken English and Arabic
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and internet tools
