Project Coordinator

Palestinian Al Nakheel Association for Progress and Development is an independent NGO, registered with the Palestinian Interior Ministry and holds a certificate of registration number 6023, was established in Khan Younis in 1998 working in the field of Food Security and WASH in general and Agricultural development especially.

Position Title:  Project Coordinator

Position Type: Full time.

Duration: 6 months

Starting Date: As Soon As Possible.

She/he will be reporting directly to Executive Director. 

Job summary:

Al Nakheel Association will be implementing the WASH projects to in Khan Younis.

Project Coordinator responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate the implementation of project activities in accordance with relevant project documents, including, when necessary, supervising and guiding project staff to achieve desired results.
  • Participate in developing field plans for worker deployment and oversee the daily workflow.
  • Monitor the progress of project implementation, ensuring adherence to work plans, event schedules, and deadlines, while overseeing financial resources and maintaining accurate financial reports.
  • Identify, manage, and monitor project risks, updating the Project Risk Log, and submitting new risks and mitigation measures to the Executive Director for review.
  • Prepare and submit timely project progress reports, detailing progress against planned activities, risk updates, and financial expenditures, to relevant stakeholders such as the Executive Director and donors.
  • Coordinate with the Executive Director to ensure a cohesive and well-structured program approach.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the line manager.

Requirements

  • University Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or any related fields.
  • Minimum of 3 years of field working experience in similar positions and/or in a similar sector.
  • Strong knowledge of WASH issues and prior experience working in the Solid waste and CfW projects
  • Ability to organize work and implement activities with high-level standards, and proven track record in producing quality work.
  • Demonstrated capacity for teamwork and coordination with all partners and stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal and writing communication skills.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • High knowledge of computer language.
  • Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills; ability to verbally express ideas assertively, and clearly, as well as, to prepare reports, and project plans.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work effectively and independently under pressure with minimal direction.
