Project Assistant – Gaza

Women’s Affairs Center (WAC) is an independent and non-profit Palestinian NGO with the purpose of advocating women’s rights and gender equality through Empowering Women, Information and Research, and Advocacy and Outreach programs. In implementing its strategy to fulfill its vision, WAC is guided by international human rights principles, including empowerment and participation; equality and non-discrimination; and accountability to ensure justice and dignity for women

WAC is committed to gender equality, social justice, and enhancing the well-being of women, particularly in marginalized communities. WAC is currently seeking a qualified female candidate to fill the following position based in Gaza

Position: Project Assistant – Full-Time

Contract Duration: One year (including a 3-month probationary period)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the day-to-day implementation and coordination of project activities in line with objectives and timelines
  • Provide administrative and logistical support, including organizing online and offline meetings, preparing materials, and managing digital documentation
  • Track and update project activities using digital tools and platforms (e.g., spreadsheets, online calendars, project management systems)
  • Maintain communication with stakeholders, partners, and beneficiaries via email, messaging apps, and digital platforms
  • Support the collection and management of data for monitoring and reporting using electronic forms and basic data analysis tools
  •  Maintain and update project databases, ensuring data accuracy, security, and backup-
  • Provide basic IT and digital support to staff, including troubleshooting hardware/software issues and supporting the use of digital tools

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within NGOs.
  • Familiarity with digital tools used in data collection, remote communication, and project management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Google Workspace, and other common platforms.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for software and hardware issues.
  • Ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users in a clear and supportive manner.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Commitment to gender equality and women’s rights.
