The Palestinian Non-Governmental Organizations Network (PNGO) condemns the heinous massacre committed by the Israeli occupation, when thousands of citizens were shot at an aid distribution point run by the so-called Gaza Humanitarian Foundation in Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip. This massacre resulted in the deaths of dozens of civilians and the wounding of hundreds.
PNGO affirms that this foundation and the American company are partners with the Israeli occupation in targeting and killing civilians who came to these military points, which, since the first day of their establishment, have posed a lethal threat to the lives of tens of thousands of hungry citizens forced to come to them to obtain meager food aid.
PNGO points out that this mechanism aims to serve the occupation's agenda of deepening and perpetuating the humanitarian crisis and imposing forced displacement and eviction on our Palestinian people. It stresses the need for the international community to assume its legal and moral responsibilities and join efforts to stop this security mechanism and strengthen the humanitarian system, which includes United Nations agencies, especially UNRWA, and Palestinian and international civil society organizations.
PNGO also demands an international investigation into these ongoing crimes at these checkpoints, which are run by the security company and the so-called Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, and to hold them accountable as partners of the occupation in these crimes.
Finally, PNGO demands serious and urgent pressure on the Israeli occupation to open the crossings and allow the entry and distribution of aid to those who deserve it, ensuring the protection of citizens, preserving their dignity, and mitigating the repercussions of the catastrophic humanitarian conditions they are experiencing.
