The Palestinian Al Nakheel Association for Progress and Development (Al Nakheel) is an independent NGO, Established in Khan Younis in 1998, the Association works across Food Security, WASH, Shelter & Non-Food Items, and Agricultural Development, serving vulnerable communities across the Gaza Strip

Al Nakheel is looking for candidates for the following position - Field Coordinator (FC) 

Job Title: Field Coordinator 

Contract Type: 7 months – Full time.

Location: Al Nakheel office.
Application Deadline: 27 September 2025

Starting Date: As Soon As Possible.

She/he will be reporting directly to Project Coordinator (PC)

Project Overview:

In partnership with Islamic Relief Worldwide, Al Nakheel Association is implementing the “Gaza Emergency Response – Phase 2” project, a multi-sectoral emergency response initiative designed to provide life-saving humanitarian assistance to civilians in the Gaza Strip, who are facing catastrophic conditions due to the ongoing conflict. The project delivers essential services including food distribution, access to clean water, health and mental care support, as well as shelter and sanitation services. Through these interventions, the project aims to address the urgent needs of affected populations and enhance the survival capacities of people in the Gaza Strip, contributing to improved resilience and well-being amidst the crisis.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Collect and verify data required for project implementation in coordination with the Project Coordinator.
  • Supervise, monitor, and track project activities in assigned areas.
  • Participate in supervising the distribution of humanitarian aid to beneficiaries.
  • Engage with local communities to communicate project objectives.
  • Participate in satisfaction and feedback meetings.
  • Identify potential challenges and propose solutions.
  • Define work processes for all planned project interventions and analyze collected data.
  • Document all stages of project implementation.
  • Support tasks assigned by the lead team related to project activities.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Project Coordinator.

Qualification and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in International Development, Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Sociology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years’ relevant experience, preferably in humanitarian assistance, WASH, Food Security and CfW projects.
  • Strong multi-tasking and time management skills.
  • Proven experience in preparing progress reports.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in diverse, multicultural teams.
  • Familiarity with local operational and cultural contexts.
  • Commitment to safeguarding principles, “Do No Harm” approach, and confidentiality standards.
