Communication Officer
Abdel Shafi community Health Association (ACHA) Is an independent non-profit organization established in 1969 and started to work in 1972 licensed by Ministry of interior in 2003 under registry No. 1901, with support by Ministry of education and Ministry of health for relevant programs.
Abdel Shafi community Health Association is (ACHA) concerned with democracy, development and relief work. Currently, it provides multisectoral services include health, cultural, educational and humanitarian services to all needy citizens in the Gaza Strip. RCS-Gaza is a development civil society organization that seeks to contribute to enhancing the health, education, cultural and social conditions of the local communities through quality comprehensive programs, built upon the principles of justice and equality
ACHA is currently looking for qualified candidates to fill the position of:
Position: Communication Officer – Donor & Media Communication
Type: Full time contract.
Place: Abdel Shafi community Health Association – Field Office and branches
Contract period: 1 year
Position Summary
The Communication Officer is responsible for managing ACHA’s official communication with the donor and leading the development and implementation of both internal and external communication activities. The role includes preparing official correspondence and reports in English, producing media content, and maintaining strong relationships with media outlets and project partners to ensure optimal visibility of activities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Donor Communication
- Prepare and send official correspondence to the donor in English in alignment with position requirements.
- Ensure all donor communication and reporting requirements are met.
- Respond to donor inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Document and archive all correspondence for proper tracking and organization.
2. Media & Public Relations
- Prepare press releases, articles, and media content about ACHA activities.
- Maintain strong relationships with local media outlets and communication partners.
- Ensure accurate and positive representation of ACHA’s projects and impact.
3. Content Creation & Management
- Draft, edit, and publish content for newsletters, social media platforms, the website, and official reports.
- Ensure all content is accurate, timely, and aligned with ACHA’s project objectives and branding guidelines.
4. Internal Communication
- Facilitate effective communication among ACHA teams and stakeholders.
- Support documentation of project progress, achievements, and success stories.
5. Monitoring & Reporting
- Prepare interim and final donor reports in English.
- Follow up on donor feedback and recommendations to ensure compliance and quality improvement.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
- Excellent command of English (written and spoken), with proven experience in official correspondence.
- Strong skills in media content creation and formal report writing.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines.
- Experience in media relations and stakeholder communication is an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and modern design software.
