Women’s Affairs Center (WAC) is an independent, non-profit Palestinian NGO dedicated to advocating for women’s rights and gender equality through its Empowering Women, Information and Research, and Advocacy and Outreach programs. In implementing its strategy to achieve its vision, WAC is guided by international human rights principles, including empowerment and participation, equality and non-discrimination, and accountability, to ensure justice and dignity for women.

WAC is committed to gender equality, social justice, and enhancing the well-being of women, particularly those living in marginalized communities. In line with its commitment to supporting vulnerable communities and promoting economic resilience, WAC is implementing the freelance project within "UNDP Strategic Partnership Triple R I / Response - Recovery – Resilience and Institution Building 2025–2027", that implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and funded by the Government of Norway. As part of this project, WAC is seeking female qualified candidates to fill four Hub Assistant positions, distributed between Gaza City (2 positions) and Deir al-Balah Governorate (2 positions), to support the effective implementation of project activities in the Gaza Strip.

Job Description

Positions: Hub Assistants (4 Positions)

Key Responsibilities:

Hub Operations & Administrative Support:

  • Support the day-to-day operations of the assigned hub
  • Ensure training venues are prepared and equipped for project activities
  • Maintain administrative records, filing systems, and project documentation

Training & Activity Coordination

  • Assist in organizing training sessions, workshops, meetings, and project activities
  • Coordinate with trainers, beneficiaries, and project staff to ensure smooth implementation
  • Register participants and maintain attendance sheets and activity documentation

Logistics & Asset Management

  • Support the management of training materials, equipment, and hub assets
  • Maintain inventory records and assist in logistics arrangements for project activities

Monitoring & Reporting

  • Assist in data entry and maintaining project databases
  • Support the preparation of activity reports and project documentation
  • Ensure accurate filing of project records

Compliance & Coordination

  • Ensure compliance with WAC policies, safeguarding standards, and donor requirements
  • Coordinate closely with the Project Coordinator and other support departments to facilitate effective project implementation
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming learning environment for project participants
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Project Coordinator

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Information Technology, or a related field
  • At least two years of relevant experience in administration, project support and training coordination
  • Good organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, data management, and report preparation
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and within a multidisciplinary team
  • Basic understanding of digital tools, online platforms, and remote work environments is an asset
  • Excellent command of English (written and spoken)
