Advocacy and Communication Officer

Atfaluna Society for Deaf Children, located in Gaza City, is inviting applications from qualified persons for the post of advocacy and communication officer.

Role Overview:

Organizes ASDC’s advocacy activities and initiatives and builds a positive image for ASDC through creation, dissemination and presentation of organizational and public information to the public

Qualifications Required

1. Bachelor’s' degree in Law, Political Science, Development Studies, Public Relations, Communication, English Literature or related fields


2. 2 years in relevant Work Experience


3. Strong experience in working with PWDs


4. Using local and international human rights law for human rights advocacy


5. Understanding of human rights-based approaches to work with PWDs.


6. Very good command (verbal and written) of both English and Arabic languages


7. Ability to write clear and concise reports


8. Proven ability to produce results within tight deadlines and under pressure situations


9. Ability to multi-task


10. Good computer proficiency


11. Ability to work as a team member and independently


12. Analytical, decision making and presentation skills


13. Proven time management and organizational skills


14. Ability to learn to communicate using sign language
