Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning (MEAL) Officer

Atfaluna Society for Deaf Children, located in Gaza City, is inviting applications from qualified persons for the post of Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning (MEAL) Officer.

Role Overview:

Establish M&E Plans and contribute to follow up the organization strategy at activities level and programs. Design tools for data collection and analysis frameworks, collect data against set indicators and regularly check the results and progresses achieved in order to control performances and devise necessary corrective actions.

Qualifications Required

1. At least BA in business or other relevant fields


2. At least 5 years work experience in MEAL (preferably in NGO sector)


3. Demonstrated experience in monitoring, evaluation, data collection and analysis


4. Proven success in designing, implementing, and operating M&E systems from project initiation to close out


5. Demonstrated experience in research methodology and conceptual frameworks design (quantitative and qualitative)


6. Demonstrated experience in design of data collection tools, process and analysis frameworks


7. Good knowledge of the project cycle management;


8. Good command of relevant software used in analysis and high level computer skills particularly in Microsoft Office


9. Knowledge on accountability initiatives, information sharing and complaints response mechanisms;


10. Strong analytical and problem solving skills


11. Previous experience with a non-governmental organization will be considered an asset;


12. Ability to participate in field activities and travel to remote areas within the region


13. High level communication skills (both oral and written)


14. Professional level in English and Arabic (reading, writing, spoken);


15. Qualities: good interpersonal skills, integrity, team spirit, patient, well organized, flexible, open minded, sociable and highly motivated.


16. Strong attention to detail, organizational and time management skills
