OCHA oPt monitoring and evaluation team visits GCMHP

A monitoring delegation from the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), oPt, visited on Monday, February 3, 2020 was GCMHP to follow up on project "Provision of Mental Health and Psycho-Social Services to Women, Men, Boys and Girls Affected by Violence in the context of demonstrations at the perimeter fence of Gaza Strip."


The delegation, which included, Mr Mahdy Jarboo, monitoring and evaluation analyst in Gaza; Ms Merna Allazeh, monitoring and evaluation analyst in WB; and Mr. Saed Al-Madhoun, Protection Cluster Coordinator met with the project team members and discussed with them the implementation process.




Then, they joined some of the ongoing activities, including psychotherapy and counseling sessions at one of the mobile stations which are located in community-based organisations.


They also attended parts of a Psychological First Aid training which was being delivered for the Palestinian Ministry of Health paramedics.


The delegation listened to the feedback of the beneficiaries and promised to work on their recommendations.


At the end of the visit, the delegation thanked Gaza Community Mental Health Programme for its cooperation.
