The Women's Sector of the Palestinian NGOs Network (PNGO) issued an urgent appeal to the international community demanding an end to Israeli aggression, lifting the siege, opening crossings, allowing aid entry, and taking immediate action to thwart the criminal plan approved by the Israeli war government's mini-ministerial council on August 8, 2025. This plan calls for the complete reoccupation of Gaza Strip and the forced displacement of over one million Palestinians from Gaza City and northern areas to the south.
This came during a press conference organized by the Women's Sector of PNGO at the Network's headquarters in Gaza City, with participation from women's civil society organizations and representatives of civil and human rights organizations. The conference declared that this plan represents nothing but a new chapter in the crime of ethnic cleansing and a fully-fledged genocide.
In her speech, Amal Syam, the Women’s Sector Coordinator of the Network, emphasized that this conference was held to amplify the voices of Gaza’s women, demanding an end to the Israeli occupation’s crimes against over two million Palestinians, most of whom are women and children. These atrocities have continued for 675 days, during which the Israeli occupation army has committed the most horrific acts of genocide, siege, starvation, and denial of healthcare. In this period, 12,700 women and 18,000 children have been killed, while 15,000 women have become widows, left to endure poverty, starvation, displacement, and the horrors of war alone.
Syam stressed, "We are here today to say loudly: 'No to the occupation of Gaza City and impose full control!'" She reaffirmed their absolute rejection of the criminal plan approved by the Israeli war government, which deepens the war of extermination and forced displacement, and will have catastrophic consequences for the Palestinian people—particularly for over a million citizens in northern Gaza who will be forced to flee to an area covering less than 5% of the Strip. This will result in massive loss of life and the total destruction of Gaza’s infrastructure, in blatant violation of all international laws and norms.
For her part, Sahar Yaghi, Director of the Palestinian Developmental Women Studies Association, read the statement issued by the Women’s Sector of PNGO, emphasizing that the occupation’s declaration of full control over Gaza, starting with Gaza City, is not a temporary military move but a systematic implementation of a forced displacement plan aimed at erasing the Palestinian presence in Gaza. This is being carried out in full view of the world, with overt international support and complicity.
Yaghi pointed out that "the occupation does not kill us only with missiles and shells—it kills us slowly through starvation." Aid is blocked, forcing children to eat rotten bread and depriving them of milk, while families are left to bury their dead with their own hands. Yet, she declared firmly: "We will not leave. We will not break. We will remain on our land, no matter the sacrifices."
Yaghi called on all women and men of the world, and every free conscience, not to be complicit in this crime through silence, and not to abandon Gaza. "History will record every stance, and true humanity is measured here and now by your positions and your stand with justice. Silence in the face of crime is participation in it."
The statement called for an immediate and comprehensive end to the genocide against our Palestinian people in Gaza, and condemned and rejected the Israeli occupation's plans to control and occupy Gaza City or any part of the Strip. It also called for urgent and effective international protection for all segments of our people, including women, girls, children, the elderly, and men, the lifting of the Israeli blockade, the immediate opening of the crossings, and the provision of safe humanitarian corridors to deliver food, medicine, and healthcare, especially to pregnant and lactating women and victims of violence.

No to Genocide—No to Killing, Starvation, and Displacement in Gaza!
We, the representatives of women civil society organizations in the Gaza Strip, raise our voices today in a resounding cry to the entire world. We expose, condemn, and vehemently reject the criminal plan approved by the Israeli war government’s mini-ministerial council on August 8, 2025, which calls for the full reoccupation of Gaza and the forced displacement of over one million Palestinians from Gaza City and the north to the south. This plan is nothing but a new chapter in the crime of ethnic cleansing and a full-fledged genocide.
For 675 consecutive days of aggression, the Israeli occupation army has turned Gaza into a mass grave, destroying 85% of civilian infrastructure, killing 61,369 martyrs, and injuring 152,850 people, including more than 50,000 cases of permanent disability. Among them, we women bear the heaviest toll: more than 28,000 women and girls have been martyred, and over 15,000 widows have been left to face poverty, displacement, and the burden of caring for their families alone.
The Israeli occupation army has also committed one of the most horrific crimes against childhood in modern history, with more than 18,000 children martyred, many alongside their entire families under the rubble, in blatant violation of all international laws and norms—erasing their small dreams and leaving only painful images on the walls of Palestinian memory.
Today, 55,000 pregnant women in Gaza live under the constant threat of death due to policies of siege, starvation, and the denial of healthcare—an unprecedented crime of reproductive genocide. Hospitals have been destroyed, medicines and sterilization and anesthesia supplies are blocked, and women are forced to give birth in catastrophic conditions, while 160 newborns each day face death from the very first moment due to the lack of both formula and breast milk.
The occupation does not kill us only with missiles and shells - it kills us slowly through starvation. Aid is blocked, forcing our children to eat rotten bread and depriving them of milk. We bury them with our own hands. Yet, we declare clearly: We will not leave. We will not break. We will remain on our land, no matter the sacrifices.
The occupation’s declaration of full control over Gaza, starting with Gaza City, is not a passing military move but a systematic implementation of a forced displacement plan to liquidate our existence—executed in full view of the world, with open international support and complicity.
As the Women’s Sector of the Palestinian NGOs Network, representing women’s organizations in Gaza, we issue this urgent and direct appeal:
- An immediate and comprehensive halt to the genocide against our Palestinian people in Gaza.
- Condemnation and rejection of the occupation’s plans to seize Gaza City or any part of the Strip.
- Urgent and effective international protection for all segments of our people, including women, girls, children, the elderly, and men.
- An end to the Israeli siege and the immediate opening of crossings.
- Safe humanitarian corridors to deliver food, medicine, and healthcare, especially for pregnant and nursing women and victims of violence.
- An urgent international investigation, allowing journalists to document the crimes, and holding the occupation accountable for all war crimes and crimes against humanity.
To the women and men of the world, to all free people of the earth:
Do not be complicit in this crime through your silence. Do not leave Gaza alone. History will record every stance, and true humanity is measured here and now by your positions and your stand with justice. Silence in the face of crime is participation in it.
