The health sector in the Palestinian NGOs Network (PNGO) stressed the need to coordinate and unite efforts among the different health service providers in order to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus and deal with its implications for health conditions at the different levels.

This came during a meeting held by PNGO in its Gaza City premises with representatives from health NGOs to discuss and follow up the development of health and humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip, in light of the limited resources to counter the spread of the Coronavirus.

Furthermore, health NGOs valued the efforts exerted to educate the Palestinian public in various regions by preparing educational and awareness leaflets about this virus and disseminating it through its volunteers to all public places, in addition to sterilizing health centers and clinics.

Health NGOs stressed the importance of adhering to the protocol issued by the Ministry of Health, and the need to strictly oblige to the procedures outlined in the protocol as well as the importance of intensifying awareness and guidance campaigns to enhance health awareness and ways to prevent coronavirus.

At the end of the meeting, the health sector in the Palestinian NGO network emphasized the importance of coordination and partnership between governmental and non-governmental health institutions, sharing information and the use of available resources.
