GCMHP Delivers PFA Training in Cooperation with NRC

GCMHP has delivered the fourth training course on Psychological First Aids to 11 staff members from the Norwegian Refugee Council.


The Psychological First Aid courses are meant to provide people who are working on frontlines with the skills needed to give basic psychological support to distressed individuals.


The training course, which consisting of 10 hours, included the principles of PFA provision, the skills of delivering it, basic knowledge about trauma and psychological disorders.


During the training related videos were presented to give the participant a clearer insight into PFA.


The trainees had also the opportunity to do roleplays and practice relaxation and breathing exercises, which are part of the tools used in the PFA.
