Project Coordinator

Palestinian Organization for Development (POD) is a non-governmental, non-profit and independent Organization, founded in Middle governorate - Gaza Strip in 2000. POD works toward social-economic development to perform positive changes in the human life.

POD in partnership with International Medical Corps (IMC) starts a project entitled “Health matters – Mitigating the adverse effects of COVID 19 pandemic on vulnerable population in the Gaza Strip”, USAID-funded project, that aims to supporting community resilience through integrated health facilities and community-based health services.

As a result, POD intends to recruit for the following position:

Title: Project Coordinator – Full time

Place: POD Office, Deir Al Balah

Period: 7 months

Reports to: Executive Director (ED)

Tasks and responsibilities:

  1. Administrative and technical implementation and follow up of the program activities.
  2. Supervision of technical and professional staff involved in the program activities that fall within his/her responsibility.
  3. Ensure that all program activities are implemented in a timely manner and according to donor’s rules and regulations.
  4. Plan and conduct regular field visits to ensure proper implementation of the activities on the ground.
  5. Prepare periodical reports as requested by POD and donor in consultation with the Executive Director.
  6. Assist the Executive Director in monitoring and evaluating the program by reporting to donor on the program deliverables.
  7. Contribute to the development of new program ideas in the field of work.
  8. Document all activities of the program and maintain an efficient program filing system including all program related documents.
  9. Perform any other tasks required by the Executive Director.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, or other related field.
  2. Three years of professional experience in project management, preferably with experience in working with NGO's.
  3. Knowledge of USAID regulations and compliance.
  4. Professional level in both Arabic and English language skills.
  5. Excellent reporting and formal writing skills in both English and Arabic.
  6. Ability to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
  7. Advanced computer literacy.
  8. Ability to work under pressure and within a team.
