Education sector within the Palestinian Non-governmental Organisation Network (PNGO) strongly condemned shooting by Israeli occupation forces of tear gas canisters towards a local school, to the east of Albureij refugee camp in middle Gaza Strip.

The Qaysaria primary school in eastern Albureij refugee camp, came under tear gas fire. Many children of the same school sustained suffocation and were admitted to a local health care center for treatment.   

PNGO's education sector, considered the attack of the Israeli occupation forces on the school is a flagrant violation of all relevant international covenants and or treaties. 

The sectors also called on the United Nations and all relevant international bodies including to condemn this attack on school children. It appealed to those bodies to ensure protection for Palestinian children, in particular, and the education process, in general, across the Gaza Strip.
