The Palestinian Non-Governmental Organizations Network (PNGO) strongly condemns the recent attacks by individuals on an aid convoy transporting vegetables to Gaza City and the northern area.
Over the past two days, these trucks were intercepted, and their contents stolen. PNGO highlights that national organizations and the United Nations agencies have long been preparing this aid amid Israeli occupation restrictions on food entry, particularly vegetables.
PNGO states that such attacks on aid convoys are unacceptable and deviate from humanitarian values and national principles.
While PNGO is holding the Israeli occupation accountable for the humanitarian crisis due to ongoing aggression, famine, thirst, epidemics and disease, it urges all parties to fulfill their national and moral duties to protect aid convoys and emphasize that the Israeli occupation has targeted civilian blue police and aid safeguarding committees to incite chaos and lawlessness.
PNGO calls on the international community to pressure the Israeli occupation to halt its aggression and ensure the safe delivery of humanitarian aid across the Gaza Strip.
