MA’AN Development Center implemented the project “Emergency Support for Water and Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE) for Displaced

MA’AN Development Center, in partnership with the Palestinian Mine Action Center (PMAC) and with funding from DCA/NCA, implemented the project “Emergency Support for Water and Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE) for Displaced and Conflict-Affected Families in Northern West Bank.”

The project targeted families, students, staff in associations, institutions, and universities, as well as the broader communities of Jenin and Tulkarm governorates.

Project activities included awareness sessions on the risks of unexploded ordnance (EORE), conflict preparedness and protection (CPP), in addition to raising awareness about safe return mechanisms for internally displaced persons.

Participants in the sessions included children, women, and persons with disabilities, along with farmers and scrap metal collectors, who are particularly exposed to high levels of risk.

The project aimed to raise awareness among communities affected by military incursions about the dangers of explosive materials and to better equip them to prevent accidents, thereby contributing to saving lives and promoting community safety.

These efforts come as part of MA’AN’s commitment, along with its partners, to strengthening protection and prevention measures in conflict-affected areas through targeted interventions that respond to the urgent needs of families and individuals.
