Atfaluna implemented a mural activity titled “An Inclusive, Just, and Equal Society for All”

Atfaluna, in partnership with Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP), implemented a mural activity titled “An Inclusive, Just, and Equal Society for All,” as a powerful expression of inclusion, dignity, and collective resilience.

This activity was carried out as part of the project “Inclusive and Multi-Sectoral Interventions for People Affected by the War, Including Persons with Disabilities and Others”

The mural goes beyond art. In a context marked by prolonged war, destruction, and exclusion, it serves as a public declaration that inclusive societies are built through participation, and that equality and justice must be embedded in all humanitarian and recovery efforts.

A defining element of this initiative was its inclusive implementation, bringing together persons with disabilities and persons without disabilities to work side by side. This shared space reflected the core message of the mural itself: breaking barriers, fostering solidarity, and reinforcing that inclusion is a collective responsibility.

One of the participants, Wasim, highlighted the personal and collective impact of the initiative, stating:

“This project played a vital role in helping me regain my strength after a long and exhausting period of war. This initiative is part of the message we stand for, persons with disabilities and persons without disabilities working together to build an inclusive society, capable of moving forward and facing the next stage together.”

Through this activity, Atfaluna reaffirms that recovery efforts must be inclusive by design and grounded in human rights. Public spaces, programs, and decision-making processes must reflect the diversity of the community and ensure that no one is left behind.
