PARC - Vacancy Announcement "Project Manager"

The Palestinian Agricultural Relief Committees (PARC) is implementing a project titles “Improving Food Security and Enhancing Resilience in Gaza through optimized rehabilitation of agricultural infrastructure after the 2014 conflict”. This project is in partnership with Diakonie Katasterophenhilfe (DKH) and funded by the Douche Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The project aims to rebuilding the agribusiness of certain number of Palestinian farmers affected by the last 2014 offensive in the Gaza Strip and enhancing farmers’ resilience against potential natural and manmade hazards utilizing the Building Back Better Approach (BBB). The project aims to Build Back Better medium scale agribusinesses that were affected by the last 2014 offensive in the Gaza Strip. The activities of the project aims at helping targeted war affected farmers and fisheries restore their livelihoods, become more resilient to potential future shocks. To accomplish those objectives, PARC is seeking qualified candidates to assume the following position:


Project Manager


Location: Gaza City,
Period: 12 Months renewable upon funding availability.


Salary: The salary is competitive and commensurate with the qualifications



KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES




  • Make sure that the scope of the project is maintained in all phases and achieving planning.

  • Create and implement detailed work plans needed to successfully complete the project

  • Develop creative beneficiary selection, technical assessment and implementation processes within the BBB framework

  • Manage project staff

  • Review the quality of the work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standards

  • Write progress and highly specialized technical reports on the project for PARCs’ management, partners and donors

  • Monitor cash flow projections and report actual cash flow and variance on a regular basis



EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:




  • Relevant university degree; preferably a master degree in Business Administration, Project Management; international development.

  • More than five years in direct project management experience.

  • Strong knowledge of project management techniques and tools.

  • Fluency in spoken and written both English & Arabic.
