Pharmacist (Mobile Clinic)

It implements humanitarian and developmental programs across key sectors—including education, child protection, food security, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), psychosocial support, and community empowerment—through partnerships with local and international organizations

About the Role

We in  UFA are seeking a qualified and dedicated Pharmacist to join our Mobile Clinic team in the Gaza Strip. The successful candidate will ensure the safe, effective, and rational management of medicines while providing high-quality pharmaceutical care to patients in humanitarian and primary healthcare settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Dispense prescription and over-the-counter medications accurately and in accordance with national regulations and clinical protocols.
• Provide patients with clear counseling on medication use, dosage, side effects, interactions, and storage.
• Ensure rational use of medicines in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare staff.
• Manage pharmaceutical inventory, including procurement requests, stock control, expiry monitoring, and cold chain management.
• Maintain accurate pharmacy records, dispensing logs, and inventory reports.
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control (IPC) standards and safe medication handling procedures.
• Participate in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for pharmacy services.
• Monitor adverse drug reactions and medication errors, reporting them according to organizational procedures.
• Support health promotion and patient education activities within the mobile clinic.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional ethics at all times.
• Coordinate with the Medical Team Leader and logistics staff to ensure uninterrupted medicine availability.
• Participate in emergency response activities and outreach missions as required.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited university.
• Valid license to practice pharmacy in Palestine.
• Minimum 2–3 years of professional experience, preferably in primary healthcare, humanitarian response, or NGO settings.
• Experience in managing essential medicines and pharmaceutical supply chains.
• Strong knowledge of treatment guidelines, rational drug use, and pharmaceutical regulations.
• Experience using pharmacy inventory management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure, adapt to changing priorities, and travel with mobile clinic teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working with international NGOs or UN agencies.
• Training in Good Pharmacy Practice (GPP), Infection Prevention and Control (IPC), or pharmaceutical supply management.
• Knowledge of humanitarian standards and emergency health interventions.
• Good command of both Arabic and English.
