The health sector in the Palestinian Non-Governmental Organisations Network (PNGO) Network has warned of the dangerous repercussions associated with the lack of laboratory testing materials for Coronavirus at the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip.

PNGO refers to the statement of the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip that the central laboratory stopped the tests for Coronavirus yesterday. The health sector in PNGO confirms that the depletion of these materials will limit the health sector ability to deal with the increasing number of Covid-19 positive cases and will severely affect the health sector as a whole.

The health sector in the network called upon all Palestinian and international parties to work to expedite the provision of the Gaza Strip with its various needs, foremost among which are laboratory materials and necessary treatments on a permanent basis, in order to enhance its resilience to be able to face the increasing number of cases.
