PSS Technical Supervisor
➡️Work location: Middle and south areas.
➡️Contract duration: 9 Months
➡️Starting Date: As soon as possible
➡️Introduction:
The Gaza Culture and Development Group (GCDG) is a non-profit and non-governmental organization established in 1990 by a group of Palestinian civil society actors and academics with the aim of promoting civil rights and sustainable development. It has been officially registered with the Palestinian Ministry of Interior under number 7288 in 2003. Since its start, GCDG has implemented a wide range of cultural and developmental initiatives and projects through various partnerships and collaborations with national and international organizations, in response to the historical developments that have occurred in Palestine, especially the Gaza Strip. GCDG has worked on implementing relief and development projects targeting poor and affected families to enhance their resilience, strengthen their participation in decision-making, and enable them to live with dignity.
GCDG is implementing” Supporting IDPs in the South of the Gaza Strip” project in partnership with Super Novae. GCDG is looking for a PSS technical supervisor.
➡️Responsibilities:
- Directing and supervising a PSS specialists team and ensuring the effective provision of psychological services.
- Guidance and provide technical support to PSS specialists in case management
- Monitoring the progress of psychosocial sessions and ensuring the achievement of set goals.
- Organizing training and workshops for PSS specialists to develop their skills and knowledge.
- Dealing with emergency cases that require immediately and effective intervention.
- Dealing with complaints, suggestions, and problems that may arise within the team and working to solve them effectively.
- Cooperating with the management to improve the quality of psychological services and develop relevant policies and procedures.
- Collecting data and ensuring that the required tasks are accomplished.
- Assistance in selecting and coordinating with targeted camps and shelters
- Helping in selecting the methodology and session topics that suit the target group
- Networking with institutions that work with women based on referral pathways and cooperating with them, especially in the referral process.

- University degree in related fields.
- Minimum 3 years experience in the field of expertise
- Good understanding of Protection principles, must demonstrate survivor-centered, respectful attitudes and a strong belief in gender equality
- Good understanding of survivor-centered approach
- Previous experience working with GBV cases & survivors
- Previous training and mentoring experience
- Knowledge of, respect, and empathy for the communities we are working with
- Good interpersonal and influencing skills
- Very good listening and facilitation skills – capable of managing and facilitating group discussions with program participants, local officials, partners, and all levels of staff
- Reporting in both languages ( Arabic and English)
- Flexible on location of work and scheduling if necessary (for field visits);
- Ability to work under pressure and under
- Ability to transfer skills and knowledge to persons with different levels of understanding and experiences;
- Ability to work rigorously;
- Ability to solve problems and react proactively.
