PNGO women sector calls to protect and secure the arrival of Gaza-bound women’s boats "Amal and Zaytouna"

The women sector in the Palestinian NGO's Network (PNGO) calls upon the international community to provide protection to Zaytouna and Amal II solidarity boats sailing in the Mediterranean to the besieged Gaza Strip. The two boats are sailing in attempt to break the Israeli occupation inhumane siege and shed light on the catastrophic and disastrous situation of the Palestinian people living in Gaza Strip under this siege.

The women sector in PNGO stated that the all-women two solidarity boats Zaytouna and Amal II which are carrying abroad peace supporters from international NGOs, as well as journalists, and Arab and international personalities, are sailing to the Gaza Strip  in a very critical time where Gaza is witnessing serious deterioration of the economic, social and health situation caused by the continued Israeli occupation siege and the slow paced construction and their impacts on the various aspects of life as well as their impact on the various sectors of the society including the women sector.

The women sector strongly supports the international women's initiative to sail to the besieged Gaza Strip, considering it as an important act and a voice of the women of the world to support the Palestinian women rights and protest the Israeli occupation's violation of the Palestinian people's right and the unjust siege of the Gaza Strip.

AS the Israeli occupation threats to seize and storm the two boats; the women sector of PNGO is deeply concerned for the safety of the women activists whose efforts aiming to break the unjust siege of the Gaza Strip and show support and solidarity with the Palestinian people in the framework of the International law. The women sector of PNGO recalled the Israeli occupation's previous attacks at any boat tried to break the Siege in the past few years.

The women sector of PNGO calls upon the international community and the International organizations to protect the two boats Amal II and Zaytouna and ensure their safety, to enable them to achieve their goal to participate in ending the siege of Gaza.

Whilst the international women peace activists are sailing to the Gaza Strip attempting to break the Israeli occupation siege, the Palestinian people and the women sector of PNGO in the Gaza Strip are waiting and preparing to receive the two boats in the Gaza's sea port; where, over the past few years,  many boats to break the siege, docked.
